Alfa Romeo lodges appeal against German GP penalty

Alfa Romeo has confirmed that it has lodged an appeal against the penalties issued to Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi at last weekend’s German Grand Prix. Raikkonen and Giovinazzi placed seventh and eighth respectively but post-race checks uncovered an anomaly with the torque clutch settings at the start. It meant that Raikkonen and Giovinazzi potentially gained an advantage though both denied that they felt anything different off the line at Hockenheim.
