Bottas: Mercedes F1 future not playing on my mind
Valtteri Bottas is refusing to let speculation regarding his Mercedes Formula 1 future distract him on race weekends, focusing only on his own performances in his push to secure a seat for 2020. Mercedes has an option on Bottas’ services for next season as the Finn looks to extend his stay at Brackley into a fourth year, and is due to take a decision this month. The team is weighing up whether to retain Bottas as Lewis Hamilton’s teammate or opt to promote current reserve driver Esteban Ocon into his seat.
