Late-race Hamilton overtake seals Hungarian GP win

Hungarian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton took advantage of Mercedes tactical masterstroke to claim a sensational victory after a late-race overtake on Max Verstappen. The championship leader secured his eighth win of the season – and his seventh at the Hungaroring – after executing Mercedes' decision to complete a two-stop strategy. Verstappen and Hamilton were nose-to-tail for much of the race, but an extra pit stop allowed Hamilton to put the Red Bull driver under pressure and pass for the race lead with four laps to go.
