Carlos Sainz & Lance Stroll take engine penalties

Belgian Grand Prix – McLaren's Carlos Sainz and Racing Point's Lance Stroll will also take grid penalties for Sunday as a result of power unit changes. On Friday morning, it was confirmed that the two Renault drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo, as well as Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat and Red Bull Racing's Alex Albon. These penalties were for power unit upgrades. Since then, the FIA has confirmed two more drivers will take grid drops – meaning six of the twenty drivers will have taken grid penalties at this early stage of the weekend.
