Channel 4 secures multi-year F1 broadcast deal with Sky

Formula 1's free-to-air presence in the UK is set to continue thanks to a multi-year deal signed between Channel 4 and Sky. Sky's exclusive rights deal with F1 for 2019 had initially pushed the sport off Britain's free airwaves, until the broadcaster and Channel 4 struck an agreement that allowed the latter to show the British Grand Prix live as well as highlights from all other races. The new deal between the two broadcasters follows a similar arrangement to this year, but extends until 2024 and includes sharing advertising technology and access to Channel 4 content for Sky customers.
