Leclerc 'lost control' on way to surprise Singapore pole

Charles Leclerc admitted that he was on the very edge of what the Ferrari SF90 could do when he blasted his way to pole position in Saturday's qualifying session for the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix. Over the team radio as he made his way back to pit lane, he exclaimed: "Look at the time! I lost control maybe three times that lap!" There were certainly moments when it looked like the young Monegasque driver was on the verge of crashing out. Even so, he was able to hold it together long enough to post a final time of 1:36.217s at the end of Q3, which proved to be 0.191s faster than last year's pole winner Lewis Hamilton.
