Vettel happy after ‘being the gardener' in FP1

Mexican Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel was pleased to finish top of the times at the end of Friday practice, having been off at Turn 1 a few times in the morning. Sebastian Vettel finished Friday's practice time as the quickest man, with a best time of 1:16.607 enough to put him just over a tenth clear of Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Ferrari had opted against running the Soft compound tyre during the morning session as the track rubbered in from an overnight rain shower, and the resulting lack of grip meant that Vettel, amongst many others, found himself struggling to slow down for the first corner at the end of the extremely long pit straight. “This morning I was the gardener of Turn...
