Fisichella joins Barrichello on Australian GP support bill

Former Formula 1 racer Giancarlo Fisichella will compete on the support package at next weekend’s Australian Grand Prix, alongside ex-rival Rubens Barrichello. Barrichello, the most experienced driver in Formula 1 history, made an appearance in the single-seater S5000 series last year, and has already signed up for its event in Melbourne. Fisichella, winner of the 2005 Australian Grand Prix – in which Barrichello placed second – has now signed up for the opening round of this year’s S5000 championship. “I am very excited about coming back to a city and a street circuit which mean so much to me,” Fisichella said. “My Grand Prix win will stay in my heart forever as well as the...
