Brown believes budget cap is a good starting point

As of 2021, all the teams on the Formula 1 grid, will have to abide by a budget cap of 155 million euros. The aim is to close the gap between the midfield and the top teams, Zak Brown has his doubts but admits it is a good starting point. Liberty Media announced the 2021 regulation changes at the end of October last year and some of the key changes included bigger tyres, more opportunities but the most talked about was a budget cap.  The aim is the make racing more competitive and entertaining as well as close the gap between the midfield and the top three. Zak Brown, the CEO of McLaren, admits it might take a few years to feel the full effects of it but does feel it is a good start....
