Wolff: "It was an absolutely stunning lap by Lewis Hamilton"

Lewis Hamilton achieved pole position yesterday for the 89th time in his career. According to team boss Toto Wolff, he did so with a stunning performance in challenging conditions. With a 0.7 second gap it would be difficult for Max Verstappen to take pole position on his last fast lap. That became especially difficult when he slipped before the last corner and saw his chance dissapear. Not that it would have mattered much, because Lewis Hamilton then improved himself with an even faster lap.
