Perez only positive Covid-19 case in latest test round

The FIA has confirmed that Sergio Perez’s positive Covid-19 result was the only case of the virus detected in the latest round of testing. All Profile 1 Attendees at grands prix – which includes teams, drivers, personnel and media – have to undergo testing for Covid-19 every five days. It was confirmed on Thursday that Perez tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the British Grand Prix, with Nico Hulkenberg acting as substitute at Racing Point. Prior to Perez’s result only two other positive cases were detected across the opening events, both during the build-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix.
