Hülkenberg in the frame for 2021 Alfa Romeo ride

Nico Hülkenberg has revealed he has had talks with Alfa Romeo over a potential 2021 drive after returning to the sport as a substitute for Sergio Perez at the past two grands prix. Hülkenberg competed both the British and 70th Anniversary grands prix for Racing Point after Sergio Perez tested positive for Covid 19. Article continues under video A problem with his car prevented Hülkenberg from starting the British Grand Prix but, on his second weekend, the German qualified third and was consistently faster than team-mate Lance Stroll.
