Grosjean reveals extent of hand injuries

Romain Grosjean has shown the scope of the burns he sustained to his hands at the Bahrain Grand Prix last year. After making contact with Daniil Kvyat on the opening lap, the Frenchman collided with the barrier at the exit of Turn 3, which saw his Haas car immediately erupt into flames as it pierced the barrier and split in two. Grosjean sat out the final two races of the year and underwent surgery on his left hand to repair ligament damage in his thumb and clean the burns. Since the accident, Grosjean has been providing updates to his situation on social media, having arrived home in Switzerland ahead of the Sakhir Grand Prix.
