Alonso discharged from hospital after cycling accident

The Alpine F1 Team has confirmed that Fernando Alonso has been dicharged from the hospital to continue his recovery from his cycling accident at home. The Spaniard was involved in a cycling accidet last Thursday when he was hit by a car while cycling near Lugano in Switzerland. The Spaniard was immeditaly taken to hospital where x-rays revealed that the two-time Formula One world champion suffered fractures to his jaw. The Oviedo-born underwent a corrective surgery on Friday morning and stayed at the hospital for a 48-hour observation period.
