Australian GP mulling permanent move to November
The organisers of the Australian Grand Prix are considering whether to give up their prestigious spot as the traditional Formula 1 season opener. The race at Melbourne's Albert Park has been the first race on the calendar for almost every season since 1996, with the exception of 2006 and 2010 when Bahrain took pole position. Last year's race was called off at the last minute because of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and this year's race has also been pushed back from March to mid-November.
