Budkowski: "There is no midfield anymore, just a field"

The action in the midfield was unprecedentedly exciting in 2020, and again in the winter test the teams showed that they are close. Marcin Budkowski, CEO of Alpine, believes there isn't even a midfield anymore. Alpine, formerly Renault, is one of the teams that performed a strong winter test. But despite the promising data, Budkowski doesn't dare draw any conclusions yet about where they stand. "Honestly I don't know, it's hard to say," says Budkowski in conversation with Formula1.com.
