Official: Turkey replaces Canada as Montreal event is cancelled

F1 has confirmed that the Canadian Grand Prix will be replaced by the Turkish Grand Prix between 11th – 13th June as the Montreal event is cancelled for the second consecutive year. The news comes as Turkey goes into a full lockdown which is currently set to last until 17 May. 'Due to the ongoing international travel restrictions in place in Canada it became impossible for Formula 1 to enter the country without a mandatory 14 day quarantine,' said Formula One Management in a statement.
