Alfa Romeo accepts FIA decision: Raikkonen does not get points back

Alfa Romeo have suffered a second setback in Portugal. After both Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi failed to score points on the Portimao circuit earlier this afternoon, the Swiss team was informed by the FIA that their appeal against the result of the Imola Grand Prix has been rejected. Raikkonen finished ninth on the Italian track, but ended up with a thirty second time penalty that left him out of the points. During the formation lap after the red flag, the Finn shot off track and as a result Lewis Hamilton and Yuki Tsunoda passed him.
