Bottas rues 'big mistake' by Mercedes that can't happen again
Valtteri Bottas says "a big mistake" by his Mercedes team during his pitstop that led to his retirement from P2 in Sunday's Monaco GP, should not have happened. Bottas held his own at the start behind leader Max Verstappen and remained in close contact with the Red Bull driver until his pitstop on lap 30. But the Finn's swap to the hard tyre could not be completed on the Mercedes' front right corner despite numerous attempts, as a wheel nut was machined onto the car's axle, preventing the wheel from being taken off.
