Hamilton learns from ‘crappy days' like Monaco

Lewis Hamilton has described how Mercedes will regroup after one of their rare “crappy days” at the Monaco Grand Prix. A weekend that threatened disappointment for the consecutive seven-time World Champions after qualifying duly materialised on Sunday as Hamilton could finish only seventh, while Valtteri Bottas had to retire as the result of a botched pit-stop. Hamilton expressed frustration at his strategy over the team radio, which had failed to get him ahead of Pierre Gasly as intended while also dropping him behind Sergio Perez and Sebastian Vettel.
