Norris given the all-clear to race in the Belgian GP
Article To news overview © McLaren Lando Norris has been cleared to contest Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix, following his high-speed qualifying crash at Spa-Francorchamps, McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl has confirmed. Norris was tackling Eau Rouge on his first flying lap in Q3 when he lost control of his car in the increasing rain; he speared off into the barriers, suffered a series of spins and eventually came to a halt in the escape area on the outside of Raidillon. After sending a radio message to his team to confirm that he was "OK", Norris climbed out of his ruined car, but could be seen holding his left arm.
