Full results FP1: Bottas fastest, Verstappen third

The first free practice session of the United States Grand Prix is over. Many different tyres were seen and there were also yellow flags and one red flag. In the end Valtteri Bottas was the fastest man, followed by Lewis Hamilton on P2 and Max Verstappen on P3. Bottas and Hamilton were close throughout the session and the gap was eventually just 0.045 seconds. Verstappen ended the session 0.932 seconds behind both Mercedes drivers. Perez was often on the pace, but unfortunately he ended the free practice in seventh place. Ferrari could still surprise Ferrari could still surprise, as they seem to be quite fast on this track.
