F1 ‘still the ultimate goal' for W Series winner Chadwick
Jamie Chadwick says she is a 'step closer' to Formula 1 after securing her second W Series crown in Austin. The Briton, who is already part of the Formula 1 fraternity having signed as Williams' development driver, contested the second season of the all-female W Series. Taking four wins on her way to the title, the 23-year-old clinched the title in Austin on Sunday with yet another race victory. Chadwick scored 159 points to Alice Powell's 132. With that title she has the points needed to acquire a superlicence, the document needed to compete in a F1 grand prix. '[It's] still the ultimate goal,' Chadwick told BBC Points West.
