AlphaTauri's Gasly sets the pace in Bahrain GP first practice

AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly topped the first practice session of 2022 in Bahrain, the Frenchman leading Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Gasly outpaced his rivals by 0.364s with a run on the soft tyre while both Scuderia drivers set their fastest lap on the medium compound. Behind the Italian-themed top three, George Russell placed fourth for Mercedes, 0.436s off the pace, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen lined up fifth. Times to follow...
