Mercedes explain Hamilton's helmet change during Monaco red flag
Lewis Hamilton changed his helmet design when the Monaco Grand Prix was red-flagged, and Mercedes have explained why… Lewis Hamilton took part in the Monaco Grand Prix with two different helmets, taking advantage of the red-flag stoppage to swap from his Monaco-specific design to his more usual 2022 design of a fluorescent yellow/green. Given the change in weather conditions during the course of the race, it's perhaps no surprise that Mercedes have explained the reason for the change as being down to his specific requirements for running the weather.
