Hamilton says Mercedes continuing ‘to stay vigilant' after pace boost

Mercedes’ Sir Lewis Hamilton is relieved to be back on the podium after a superb performance in Canada that saw him finish third. Hamilton managed to get past Fernando Alonso late on in the race to put himself on the podium as George Russell and Esteban Ocon also got ahead with the help of a late Safety Car, and it was the second time this year that the Briton has finished P3. The first time was all the way back in the opening round of the season in Bahrain, so it will mean a lot to the Silver Arrows to get another haul of 27 points, particularly after another difficult weekend.
