Logan Sargeant officially confirmed as Williams driver for 2023

Logan Sargeant has been officially confirmed as Williams' new driver for 2023. The American earned enough points for his super licence this weekend and will therefore join Formula 1 next season. Sargeant will be a teammate of Alexander Albon at Williams. Article continues under ad It had been known for some time that Williams was keen to have Sargeant as Nicholas Latifi 's successor. The problem, however, was that Sargeant did not yet have enough points to get a super licence. Without the licence, the American would not be allowed to drive a Formula 1 car, so the team announced earlier this year that it was going all out to help Sargeant get his licence.
