Helmut Marko defends Lewis Hamilton as tensions with FIA grow

Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has hit out at the FIA for making a 'clearly wrong' decision in banning drivers from using their platform to show support and raise awareness for campaigns and communities, with the Austrian hailing F1 drivers as 'responsible citizens'. Following the 2022 season, the FIA made a huge update to the International Sporting Code (ISC), by banning “the general making and display of political, religious and personal statements or comments notably in violation of the general principle of neutrality promoted by the FIA under its statutes, unless previously approved in writing by the FIA for international competitions, or by the relevant ASN for national...
