Lewis Hamilton declared richer than Max Verstappen

Despite having been comfortably beaten in 2022 by reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton still earned more money than the Dutchman in the past 12 months, as revealed by Forbes. According to Forbes, Hamilton made $65 million in the past 12 months, with $55 million having come from Formula 1 whilst the remaining $10 million came from commercial interests. Verstappen staggeringly earned just $1 million less than the Mercedes driver; however, the two-time World Champion did earn more than the Briton in the sport over the past year.
