Williams looking to sign Mercedes driver

Ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher believes that Mercedes Junior driver and Formula 2 star Frederik Vesti is being watched 'closely' by Williams, with the German believing this is why Logan Sargeant hasn't been given a new deal yet. Sargeant is the only driver on the grid yet to be retained for 2024, with Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix currently set to be his last in F1. Williams team principal James Vowles has stressed that he's simply giving Sargeant the entire season before making a decision, although most are certain that the young American will be given a second chance in 2024.
