Audi confirms appointment of Wheatley as team principal

© XPB  Andrew Lewin 01/08/2024 at 18:1601/08/2024 at 18:28 Audi has formally announced that current Red Bull sporting director Jonathan Wheatley has signed a deal to take over as team principal for their new factory team which will debut in 2026. The news was broken by Red Bull on Thursday afternoon. The timing appeared to catch Audi off-guard and it was some time later before the German manufacturer confirmed the signing of "a further top-ranking expert for its ambitious F1 project."
