When Bernie Ecclestone sold F1's commercial rights to Liberty Media in 2017, the Briton will doubt have thought he had made a good deal. Ecclestone received 8 billion dollars from the Americans, who now have regained their investment. Indeed, the competition is now so popular, it has become a cash cow.
