'Maldonado is a great fighter'
Pastor Maldonado is "often underestimated" and deserves more credit as a driver, that's according to Xevi Pujolar.
Pujolar got to know Maldonado well during their time together at Williams where he was the chief race engineer before moving onto Toro Rosso.
And although Maldonado, who is now with Lotus, is often criticised for his erratic driving, Pujolar believes the Venezuelan driver deserves better.
"I have alwayws said that Pastor and [Juan Pablo] Montoya impressed me the most," he told Motorsport Magazin.com.
"Maybe they did that because they are such great fighters.
