McLaren unveils one-off livery for Australian GP
McLaren has unveiled a special one-off livery for this weekend's Australian Grand Prix that honours the twentieth year of collaboration with oil giant Mobil 1 in Formula 1.
The team had run with a chrome livery throughout testing with minimal branding, and without a title sponsor confirmed for the coming season, there was some uncertainty regarding the image of the car for the opening round of the 2014 season this weekend. However, after initial paddock shots showed more black on the car, a change was expected, and that was formally confirmed by the team on Thursday in Melbourne.
