Thursday fan day planned for British GP
Silverstone is set to host a dedicated fan day on the Thursday of this year's British Grand Prix, organisers have confirmed.
Richard Phillips, the circuit's managing director, said in Bahrain that Silverstone bosses have been given approval to open the pit lane to fans on the 3rd July, one day prior to the start of the on-track action.
Those in attendance will get a close-up look at the teams as they prepare the cars for the race weekend ahead, which will be the ninth round of the 2014 season.
Arrangements have not yet been finalised, but Silverstone hopes to attract more than 10,000 spectators.
