Imola pays homage to Senna
mola will open its gates to the public for four days from today on the 20th anniversary of the death of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna. Senna was killed at the San Marino Grand Prix on May 1st 1994, and yesterday (Wednesday) a memorial service was held for the Brazilian, and Roland Ratzenberger, who also sadly lost his life over that dark weekend. The Austrian died in qualifying the day before. Commemorations at the Italian circuit will include a parade – dedicated to both drivers – as well as exhibitions and talks, including one on the evolution of safety in F1.
