Lotus F1 receives final adjournment in tax case

The Lotus Formula 1 team has been granted a final adjournment in its High Court battle over an unpaid tax bill. Insolvency proceedings were lodged against the Enstone team by HM Revenue and Customs earlier this month regarding an outstanding £900,000 (1.9 Million AUD) income tax and national insurance payment for June. The London High Court ruled on Friday that the team has another seven days to resolve the matter ahead of a final hearing on September 28. Lotus is currently in discussions with Renault over a potential take over by the French manufacturer which has further complicated the issue.
