McLaren fires up 2016 Honda power unit for first time

McLaren has become the latest team to release audio from the first fire-up of its 2016 Formula 1 engine. The new Honda power unit was started up for the first time at the McLaren Technology Centre, with the MP4-31 roaring into life. The 16-second clip was posted by McLaren on Twitter, following Ferrari’s engine fire-up video post earlier in the week. The new McLaren will be unveiled on the 21 February, with an online launch one day prior to the first pre-season test.
