Vettel avoids damage despite wall contact twice

Monaco Grand Prix – Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel had a scrappy day on Thursday, touching the wall twice during the second practice session. The German driver finished the first practice session P3, utilising the UltraSoft tyre to finish only behind the two Mercedes drivers. However, in FP2, Vettel could only manage P9. He spun off at Mirabeau halfway through the session, hitting the TecPro barriers backwards. He resumed the track and pitted for repairs but, moments after getting back out on the circuit, glanced his left rear wheel off the barriers at Ste. Devote.
