Pirelli confirm deal to remain F1 supplier until 2019

Pirelli have announced that they will continue as the official tyre suppliers of the Formula One championship in a deal which runs until 2019. The Italian manufacturers have finally announced an agreement to continue as Formula One's tyre supplier after a deal had been agreed over the winter. Pirelli were reported to have reached an agreement with Formula One Management several months ago, with the formalities of finalising the deal still to go through. The deal effectively ended Michelin's bid to win the business and start supplying teams from 2017.
