McLaren works to introduce new components – Boullier With rain forecast for the afternoon, the morning’s session in Austria was heavily front-loaded as the team conducted a number of aerodynamic tests, including the running of a distinctive-looking new rear wing configuration on Fernando’s car. As predicted, a mighty mid-afternoon deluge wiped out much of this afternoon’s running in FP2 – but, almost as quickly as it arrived, the rains abated and the track dried.
