Sauber withdraws from Silverstone test

Sauber has struggled both on and off the track this season Sauber has confirmed that it will miss the second Formula 1 in-season test at Silverstone next week. The Swiss squad has been plagued by financial struggles this year with the outfit citing ‘cost effectiveness’ as the reason for missing the two-day post British Grand Prix test (July 12-13). Sauber pulled out of the opening in-season test at Barcelona in May with the squad devoid of updates to test on its C35. 'As we introduce the #C35 aero package at a later stage, testing in Silverstone is cancelled considering cost effectiveness,' read a post from Sauber's Twitter account.
