Hamilton apologies to Mercedes crew for FP2 shunt Lewis Hamilton has apologised to Mercedes crew following his crash during the second practice session for the Hungarian GP. The Brit lost control of his Mercedes on the entry to Turn 11, skidding across the tarmac run-off area and into the tyres at comparatively high speed. The crash with the tyre barrier was measured at 10.4G, and with marshals moving towards the car the session was red flagged. 'My apologies to the crew for all the hard work they have ahead and getting it back together. Fortunately I got a good feel for it in the few laps that I have and the pace is clearly there.
