Lewis Hamilton confident crash won't impact qualifying performance

Lewis Hamilton is looking to bounce back from 'not the greatest session' after he crashed out of second practice on Friday afternoon in Hungary, costing him more than 75 minutes of running. The Mercedes driver was caught out by a new and unpainted kerb according to technical director Paddy Lowe and although the damage sustained was relatively small, allowing for Hamilton to return to the pits under his own power, the team had to take a cautious approach and check the car over, which meant Hamilton was unable to return to the track.
