Manor terminate Rio Haryanto's contract with immediate effect

Rio Haryanto has lost his Manor Formula 1 seat after failing to meet his 'contractual obligations', the team confirmed on Wednesday, with the British outfit soon to announce his replacement and Pascal Wehrlein's new team-mate. The Indonesian driver made his debut on the grid this season with Manor after securing backing from state sponsor Pertamina. However he could only raise enough for the first half of the season, but had hoped over the summer break his management team would secure the remainder of the money to see out the season.
