Pirelli covers almost 3000km on 2017 tyres
– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli added almost 3000km of running towards its extensive 2017 development programme, with Mercedes and Ferrari respectively, throughout the week.Ferrari ran at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kimi Räikkönen initially racking up 111 laps (516.705km), and Sebastian Vettel adding 156 laps (726.18km).Mercedes used Paul Ricard from Tuesday to Thursday, with Pascal Wehrlein driving on all three days, completing 134 laps (785.374 km), 89 laps (521.629 km) and 63 laps (369.243 km).Ferrari's mileage from Barcelona (1242.885km) added to Mercedes' from Paul Ricard (1676.246 km) gave Pirelli 2919.131km over the week, bringing its 2017...
