Malaysian Grand Prix will happen for two more years

Amid reports that the Malaysian government is seriously considering ditching the grand prix at Sepang, comes confirmation that the race will nevertheless happen for another two years, thus fulfilling contractual obligations. GMM report that Sepang chief Razlan Razali has now acknowledged that a watertight contract exists until and including 2018, 'It will involve legal issues if we breach the contract which was signed last year and runs through 2018.' '[Sepang] will review the host's job when the contract expires in 2018 but the race will certainly be held next year,' added Razali.
