FP3: Mercedes take back advantage

F1 Grand Prix, GP Great-Britain, Silverstone Circuit Having not topped either one of Friday's sessions at Silverstone, Mercedes AMG F1 regained their usual positions in third practice as Valtteri Bottas topped the one-hour sesson, a tenth faster than team mate Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen was again third fastest, ahead of Lance Stroll in the first Racing Point RP20. Stroll was already more than 7 tenths of a second off the pace-setting Mercedes. McLaren's Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris sandwished Charles Leclerc for Ferrari as the orange cars showed their pace on the back of the fairly anonymous Friday where they failed to make it into the top 10.
