Marko hits out at Pirelli's soft tyres "As good as useless"
Helmut Marko is not happy with the fact that Pirelli has chosen to bring softer tyres than during the previous British Grand Prix. According to Red Bull Racing's advisor, the soft tyre is "as good as useless". Marko was also confused by Renault's decision to take the hard tyres for Friday's practice sessions. "The soft tyre were as good as useless," Marko says in conversation with Motorsport-Magazin.com. According to the 77-year old Austrian, this is also the reason why Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon were in the pit box for so long at the end of the second free practice session.
