Red Bull director tests positive for COVID-19

Red Bull has confirmed that sporting director Jonathan Wheatley has tested positive for COVID-19 during mandatory pre-race tests. Throughout the 2020 seasons, all members of the paddock, from drivers to team staff to press, have been required to take multiple tests ahead of and throughout every race weekend. Multiple people, including Sergio Perez, have tested positive and have thus been required to self-isolate and stay away from the paddock in order to limit the spread of infection. Wheatley will now have to do the same after testing positive himself, with Red Bull stating that he will quarantine for 10 days and not attend the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix race weekend.
